New York Art library

I arrived to the New York Art library at 11:00am my group and I waited for a while to Justine to come. When we went in I really expected the library to be bigger it is pretty small in comparison to others libraries in Manhattan. In the other hand it is very organize they have all the books in different sessions one of the collections that I really like was the film collection there were book that show the beginning of filming and how it involved through the time they show a lot of pictures of how the technology was changing and how it affect filming. They also have an interesting collection of how drawing begins and how the most famous cartoon figures were created. The library also counts with the a complete edition of Shakespeare work there are also collection of dance, drama, technology etc. the library has DVD collection of many subjects like comedies, training exercise DVDs, politics, history, movies etc and it counts also with two computer labs one on the front of the second floor and the other one in the back of the first floor. Being in the New York Art library was very interesting and fun even though I don’t like libraries this time was different I saw many interesting things.

A vision of students today

Is very sad to see this video and notice how everything they showed in there is true. The education that students receive is pretty bad, it's very depressing to see that teacher don't count the effort that the majority of students do to afford college and all the privation that many of us have to do. but that doesn't change things we still buying 1 to 3 books for just one class that we don’t need just as the guy on the video mention " I buy hundred dollar textbook that I never open" that's a lot of money waste and it is the same thing for every class. Besides that it’s not only the money that many of us waste on books and other college expensive its how the college manage our education. Being in a classroom of 115 or more students it’s very distractive, rooms that are so big and were you are far away from the professor make it more difficult for you to learn. It is a fact that the closer you are to a teacher the easier is for you to understand the class and the material but unfortunately most of the professors don’t know the students mane “18% of my teachers know my mane” that was the opinion of one of the girls in the videos. But what about technology it was mention on the video as a way to save us but I don’t agree with it because the main distraction for students is the technology. When you enter a classroom you can see that the majority of students playing with their laptop, text message or listen to music instead of paying attention to class. I definitely don’t agree with the point that technology is the only way to save us, it does help us with all the school work that we have to do that’s all.

Simone is a very interesting movie it focus in the reality and how people belief everything they see. this movie show how a producer called victor created an actress by a computer program and make everyone belief she is real, people saw her in films, TV shows, commercial and interviews etc but nobody meet her personally besides victor who was his creator. even though nobody knew how she looked in reality everyone belief in her existence without question that she never appears in public. this justified that people aren't concern on the things they see they just belief everything they see and what people tell them. if someone shows then a picture and tell them that that person exist then they belief it because that's all they to belief that something is real. Simone have some connections with other movies like the matrix, Farscape,Star Trek because they all are based in reality how a group or one person can make others belief is something that don't exist. in all this movie someone manipulated people minds by showing them false images and information so that people belief in that particular thing. one thing that this film may say about Hollywood is that all you see are illusion of people being beautiful and perfect but in reality things are not as you see them in movies or comercial everything is make up.
